STORY
Jake Kitchin is a 22-year-old professional musician, actor, recording artist, and singer-songwriter.
Jake has had a passion for the arts ever since he was young, having grown up as a professional actor in New York City. When he was ten years old, he joined the national tour of Billy Elliot as Michael, and has since had the opportunity to work with people such as Steve Martin, Edie Brickell, Walter Bobbie, and more. Jake’s young voice can be heard singing Peter Frampton’s Show Me The Way on Uncle Ben’s commercial Life Lessons.
In 2020 and 2021, he was honored to sing on stage at Madison Square Garden during The Eagles’ Hotel California Tour. In 2023, he graduated magna cum laude from Marymount Manhattan College.
Jake’s family has deep musical roots. His great grandfather was a Juliard trained violinist and member of the Vladimir Selinsky String Quartet, known for their NBC radio show, Strings in Swingtime. Jake’s grandmother’s band Fromage Chaud performed world music, celtic, and bluegrass playing fiddle and mandolin. His cousin Roger Rosenberg is a baritone saxophonist who plays with Steely Dan and is also cousin to Mike Einziger of Incubus. Jake grew up inspired by his mother who sang jazz a capella, and his father who introduced him to playing guitar in folk, classic rock, and singer-songwriter styles.
Jake’s first album On A Clear Day — released in April 2025 — is a collection of jazz standards revealing his seamless vocal style and influence of his mentor Marlon Saunders. Jake’s next projects include an album of original music.
Jake performs regularly in NYC with Max Bartos and the Misfit Toys.

REVIEWS
"On a Clear Day" sounds like Jamie Cullum if he actually did jazz. I absolutely loved everything about this song. The arrangement is elegant, it has a nostalgic feel, and the instrumental features a type of formation that I love: the classic trio of piano, acoustic bass, drums and guitar. The guitar phrasing is beautiful, great tone, clean, very pleasant to listen to. And you're also a great singer, with total control of your voice, a good range and a timbre suitable for this type of more sophisticated music. Congratulations on your debut, you're off to a great start.
