About

Jake Kitchin is an NYC-based 24-year-old musician, recording artist, actor, and singer-songwriter.

Growing up as a professional actor in New York, Jake has had a passion for the arts ever since he was young. He has had the opportunity to work with legends such as Steve Martin, Edie Brickell, Walter Bobbie, and more. He has had a long-standing passion for tap dancing, and was part of the company for the second national tour of Billy Elliot. In 2023, he graduated magna cum laude with a BFA from Marymount Manhattan College.

A skilled multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter, Jake plays guitar, mandolin, and bass. In Spring 2025, he released his debut album, “On A Clear Day” a collection of jazz standards. In the past, Jake has been honored to sing on stage at Madison Square Garden during The Eagles’ Hotel California Tour. More recently, you can find him performing all around the NYC area and across the country playing mandolin and electric guitar live with Max Bartos and the Motherfolkers, a folk/bluegrass/alt-rock inspired project.

Currently, Jake is deep in the process of recording and preparing to release an album of his original music, which draws inspiration from folk, blues, bluegrass, jazz, and classic rock. Jake’s writing and voice have been favorably compared the likes of James Taylor, Nick Drake, and Paul Simon, with his own unique twist.

In addition, Jake and his friends host a monthly acoustic house show series called “The Basement Sessions”! You can find more info for that at https://www.thebasementsessions.org/!

Jake offers guitar lessons in the NYC area, as well as guitar/bass/mandolin studio work! Please reach out through the contact form if you’re interested!
