Jake Kitchin, 9, and Joe Matheson premiering the duet, “More is Annie,” on 4/18/2012 at Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater, NYC. This was part of an evening celebrating the songs of the Breithaupt Brothers writing team (Don, composer; Jeff, lyricist). This song reflects the scene in “Sleepless in Seattle” where Jonah is trying to persuade his father, Sam (a widower recently dubbed “Sleepless in Seattle” on a radio talk show), to take seriously a letter from a stranger (Annie Reed from Baltimore) who has heard Sam’s story on the radio. Accompanying Jake and Joe on piano is composer Don Breithaupt. Video provided by Steam Engine Films.
